When I first met Lynne I had been driving back and forth around the North Shore documenting stories. I was rushing to get to her place and lost in the hills on the town side of the island. I was so looking forward to meeting this women and so inspired by the era and generation these ladies set the stage for. Lynne had been on tour with legends like Patty Paniccia, Becky Benson, Margo O'berg, Jericho Poppler, Betty Depolito, Rell Sunn and many more. These ladies experienced heats with the guys as well as heats in some big surf. They were chargers paddling out and attacking Sunset.

I as I entered in her studio I found myself surrounded by minimal memorabilia and bombarded with her passion which is painting. As we sat down I asked Lynne questions about the times, and that was the igniter to amazing stories. As the camera rolled it captured one story after the other. I recently saw Lynne a few months ago as she attended a event I hosted on the South Shore. It was so great to catch up as well as give her The Lost & Found book. I wanted the night to be special as well and share how grateful I am for her time by projecting a short story about her. As the film played I looked at Lynne as she smiled with joy as it truly gave her and all these special ladies the respect that they deserve. This is what Sharing the ALOHA is all about.
